Announcement    Welcome to Ozark Rain Colors, formerly known as ‘Grateful Buns’. Same Owner, different shop name. After more than twelve years of diaper covers and hundreds of Happy Moms and Babies, I am embarking on a new adventure, combining my love of and nature and natural fibers.

Living in an earth-friendly Geodesic Dome deep in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, I approach fabric dyeing in a new, green way by implementing sustainable and ethical practices. I use rainwater (no chlorine!) to rinse all fabrics in a multi-step, water-conserving process, and softened artesian well water (no chlorine!) to wash them in a front-loading washer, then air-dry all fabric for a crisp feel preferred by quilters.
All fabrics are dyed in small batches for one-of-a-kind colors. No duplicates.

During the cooler seasons, I love to explore the woods, finding one-of-a-kind natural items for use in arts and crafts and home decoration. Each day brings a new discovery, finding unusual rocks, trees or leaves.

I have been knitting and sewing since I was six years old and would like to share my creations with you. Many of them are sourced from reclaimed and reused materials; all of them are unique.

It's not hoarding if it's fabric or yarn (or books!), but there comes a time when a person has to de-stash, so I'm also offering some of my fabric and yarn collection.......

Custom orders are available – contact me and we can talk.

Please check out my talented mentor, friend and fellow artist’s shop at greatday2dye.etsy.com
